By Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore has released the CAT 2022 notification as well as the information brochure at the official website - iimcat.ac.in on July 31 past 12 am. The official CAT 2022 website has also been activated on July 31. Cat registration window will open on 10.00 a.m. on August 3 and will close on September 14, 2022, at 5 pm. Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 exam date is November 27, 2022, Sunday.

The official CAT 2022 information brochure includes the eligibility criteria, CAT exam date 2022, start and end dates of CAT registration, etc. The total number of test cities mentioned in the CAT 2022 notification is 150 and the cities where the MBA entrance exam will be held have been given. The official CAT 2022 notification mentions the URL of the CAT 2022 official website: www.iimcat.ac.in.
CAT 2022 will be conducted in 3 slots. Each slot will consist of 3 sections i.e., Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning & Quantitative Ability. Candidates will be alloted 40 minutes for each section while total duration of test will be 120 minutes.
The CAT fee was increased from Rs 2,200 to Rs 2,300 for general category students and from Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,150 for SC/ ST students.
The number of test cities for the CAT exam 2022 this year has decreased to 150.
IIM Bangalore conducted the first online CAT exam in 2016 and later in 2022. The MBA institute is conducting CAT 2022 after a gap of five years. More than 2 lakh MBA aspirants apply for CAT every year for MBA/ PGDM admission in elite B-schools across India such as GIM Goa, Great Lakes, MDI Gurgaon, FORE Delhi, FMS Delhi, DoMS IIT Delhi, IIT Mumbai, SPJIMR, etc.
This CAT score is accepted not only by IIMs but also by 500+ B-schools across the country. Nearly 4000 seats will be filled by IIMs. A CAT percentile of about 98+ is needed for admission to these top MBA colleges. The CAT 2022 score is valid only till December 31, 2023, and will accordingly be accessible on the CAT 2022 official website.
